Adult Students

Whether you are returning to the piano after years away or finally taking your first step towards fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing piano, it is always worth it.

If you have the passion to play piano, you should absolutely be able to.

It doesn’t matter whether you want to play your favourite songs without any pressure or whether you want to extend and challenge yourself through performances or exams.

Adults who played piano when they were younger often feel shy or hesitant about picking it up again, which is so understandable. They are probably thinking about how much they might have forgotten. But those old skills are still in there, and with the right help and some practice they come back before you know it. When that happens, people feel a real boost in confidence and a fresh burst of energy.

Our informal adult-only concerts and music-sharing sessions offer a supportive, inspiring environment where musicians can connect and grow together. Some adults thrive on the excitement and challenge of performing while others feel invigorated and inspired by simply coming along to hear others play. There's a special joy in sharing the love of music with others.

In retirement, people often have more time and energy to devote to their music. And the more time and passion we invest, the greater the enjoyment and satisfaction we experience in return!

Adult students can take lessons without following traditional school terms, and I’m happy to accommodate your schedules. Whether you prefer weekly, fortnightly or occasional lessons, I offer flexibility to meet your needs.
